The University of Strathclyde Research Computing Infrastructure Short Life Working Group, chaired by Prof Patricia Connolly, is undertaking a survey of the research computing equipment that exists across the University. The results of this survey will inform the final RCI group report which will be presented to the Executive Team.

The group wishes to ascertain the amount of computing equipment that exists at a scale beyond a single high-end workstation, which is used for computationally intensive research or data processing. This could include (but is not restricted to):

• multi-cpu, large memory workstations
• multi-GPU servers
• multi-node CPU or GPU servers
• bespoke collections of workstations forming a computing cluster or pipeline
• high-capacity external storage

The following form should be completed by the IT or research/academic staff responsible for research computing equipment.

Please respond, if possible, by 5pm on 23rd July 2024, however, later responses will be welcome.
