Molecular Studies of Thermodynamic Properties of Nanofluids and Liquids in Nanochannels Molecular Studies of Thermodynamic Properties of Nanofluids and Liquids in Nanochannels Dr. Michael Frank, in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, is using ARCHIE-WeSt to investigate how the thermodynamic properties of materials are affected in the immediate vicinity of a solid-liquid interface. An understanding of such phenomena is crucial for the design of effective micro- and nano-fluidic devices, as well as the design of optimal nanofluids for thermal management.
