Molecular Studies of Thermodynamic Properties of Nanofluids and Liquids in Nanochannels

Dr. Michael Frank, in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, is using ARCHIE-WeSt to investigate how the thermodynamic properties of materials are affected in the immediate vicinity of a solid-liquid interface. An understanding of such phenomena is crucial for the design of effective micro- and nano-fluidic devices, as well as the design of optimal nanofluids for thermal management.
