Towards an Adaptive SBSE Based Approaches for Cloud Elasticity Towards an Adaptive SBSE Based Approaches for Cloud Elasticity This project aims to use ARCHIE-WeST to run the cloud simulator (CloudSIM) based experiments in order to perform comparative analysis of the existing elastic controllers as well to explore the possibility to enhance the existing approaches using a blend of machine learning and Search based software engineering (SBSE) techniques. The project uses a customized enhanced version of CloudSIM (A simulator for cloud, written in java) for the experimentation. The main focus of this research project is to overcome existing issues of elastic policies, enrich elastic system with on the fly testing methodologies and to improve the existing faults tolerant mechanism using SBSE techniques. For more information about the project contact Amjad Ullah (aul@cs.stir.ac.uk), a PhD student at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Stirling or Dr Jingpeng Li (jli@cs.stir.ac.uk), who is supervising this project and is Reader at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Stirling.
