Object Detection Object Detection Zhenyu Fang, in the Department of Electric and Electronic Engineering at the University of Strathclyde is using ARCHIE-WeSt to investigate the object detection of high resolution aerial image. Object detection is one of the fundamental tasks in computer vision. For the general purpose object detection, the detection box is horizontal with the image. However, the detection box in remote sensing object can be in any direction and position, which increases the difficulty of accurate detection. The project aims at increasing the performance of the rotated small object detection. By optimizing the structure of models, the accuracy can be significantly improved with a slight increase of the computational cost.
