The idea of the project is to study the effects of wind turbine blade leading edge erosion. For this, the lift and drag coefficients of the blade under different erosion stages and for a range of AoA and Reynolds number must be determined. We are seeking to determine lift and drag based on CFD simulations, to later use the results to compute power production based on the deterioration state of the blade and analyze maintenance and reliability optimization.
