1-detail understanding of the potential interaction between such large dc grid and ac power systems.
2-understanding of the scale of technical challenegs need to be overcame.
3-provide UK-based utility companies and HVDC manufacturers with the information that may help them to compete globally.
4-these two models could be used as a plateform for future studies, and design and developemet of dc grid protection system.
5-publications in IEEE power systems and power deliverly, and IET generation, transmission and distribution journal.
